Star Sailors Beginner Guide

Star Sailors is a collectible turn-based JRPG where you explore floating continents, recruit Partners, and rebuild the Human Kingdom. This beginner guide covers everything you need for a strong start — from your first battle to unlocking every major game mode by completing Chapter 5.

What is Star Sailors?

Developed by Panana Studio and published by Com2uS Holdings, Star Sailors combines storybook fantasy visuals with tactical turn-based combat. You play as an Adventurer chosen by the legendary Star Compass, leading a crew of unique Partners across shattered floating continents in search of mythic Heirlooms.

The game features gacha-style Partner recruitment, 6-slot team building, Burst Chance QTE mechanics, Alliance Raids, and a Sweep system that reduces repetitive grinding. It launched globally on June 30, 2026 for iOS and Android.

How to Start: Adventure Mode First

Your first priority is Adventure Mode — the main story campaign. Chapters 1 through 5 unlock nearly every mechanic and game mode in Star Sailors. Rush through these chapters as efficiently as possible rather than grinding side content early.

Each chapter contains multiple stages with three tasks per stage. Complete these tasks for bonus EXP that levels your Adventurer faster. After each chapter stage, collect rewards and push forward. By Chapter 5, you will have access to Arena, Guild content, Dispatch, Sweep, and advanced summoning.

Understanding Your First Team

Your team holds 6 members: 1 Adventurer (you), 2 Battle Partners, 2 Assist Partners, and 1 Monster Partner. Only the Adventurer and 2 Battle Partners appear on the battlefield, but all 6 contribute stats and abilities.

For early chapters, use 1 defender-type Adventurer, 2 DPS Battle Partners, 1 buffer Assist Partner, 1 debuffer Assist Partner, and 1 Monster. Focus on Partners with strong chain attack effects. See our team building guide for detailed composition advice.

Essential Beginner Tips

Redeem all active codes immediately for free Gold and Compasses. Follow our codes page for the latest list. Perform your tutorial summons and check mail for bonus summons. Do not spend premium currency on stamina refills early — save mushrooms and diamonds for summons.

Beginner Progression Checklist

Day 1: Complete tutorial, redeem codes, perform initial summons, finish Chapter 1. Day 2-3: Push to Chapter 3, unlock Sweep, start daily grind routine. Day 4-5: Reach Chapter 5, unlock all major modes, join a Guild. Week 2: Focus on summoning S-tier Partners, start gear farming, participate in Alliance Raids.
